Without losing the characteristics of the traditional sounds of this instrument， Hikaru Quena is incredibly balanced in all the registers of 3 octaves and more， especially in the lower register， has really strong tones by having well-designed blowing edge， open tube and inner bore. Hikaru Quena is always tuned and tested strictly by the master Hikaru Iwakawa at least for 1 month.
